The iPhone 16 Pro is an incredible photography and filmmaking tool. Pictured are some additional accessories I love to use with it.
Earlier this year, I ran into a slight filmmaking problem. Something that can really happen to all of us. Unfortunately, I happened to have fractured my wristdue to a sport injury, which ultimately led to me not being able to utilise my usual cinematography rig (being my Ursa 4.6K G2 setup or even my smaller Pocket 6K Pro), due to the weight constraints.
Frustrated, at the time I was looking for ways I could keep on filmmaking, without being limited by my busted hand. I then quickly turned back to my iPhone and smartphone filmmaking. Specifically, utilising the Blackmagic camera app and Apple ProRes Log — something not new to me having a filmed a short film earlier in 2024 using the new setup on the iPhone 16 Pro.
This time around however, I wanted to take that to the next level, with a few trips coming up this year, and a many more filmmaking projects on the horizon, I had a look around at different accessories, lenses and products that would add some new depth to my iPhone cinematography and filmmaking arsenal.
